As college women, we are all aware that scholarship is the number one priority in our everyday lives. However, that doesn't mean we don't like to have fun once in a while. Our Director of Social Enrichment is always working hard to plan events that will allow us to mingle with some other chapters on campus as well as live up to one of our values of social development.
Exchanges are a fun way to get to know some of the fraternities on
campus as well as get the opportunity to dress to a theme.
We usually have at least one of these events every month.
Some of our past themes include: Gatsby, America,
Disney and a Toga party.
Date dashes & Formals
Date Dashes are functions that allow you to bring a date of your
choosing to a fun event, such as a football or baseball game, or allow you and your date to dress up to fit a theme like a St. Patrick's Day date dash. Another highly anticipated event is formal, such as Mallard Ball
and Black Diamond Formal. We usually have a couple of these every
homecoming & Greek week
Homecoming is a week during fall semester where we are paired
with one or two fraternities on campus and compete in many events
such as a lip sync competition, house decorating competition and
there are a few exchanges mixed into this week as well.
It is a week that everyone looks forward to during the football
season. This past year we placed third in Homecoming Week!
Greek Week is very similar to Homecoming in that we are again, paired
with fraternities on campus to compete in a variety of events. Each year,
we work with the rest of the Greek community to raise money for a
philanthropy chosen by the Greek Week Council. In 2017, the Greek
community at WSU raised over $4,000 for Alternatives to Violence on the Palouse. Our team, team 12: Parrots, won Greek Week in 2017 and placed 2nd in 2018!
